Frequently Asked Questions

Not sure what to expect? Here’s a list of the most frequently asked questions. If I missed something, feel free to ask me when you fill in the form at the top of this page.

Where are your clients based?

Everywhere! I’m currently based between Amsterdam and New York City. I work remotely and service clients around the world.

What do you usually write about?

I have the most experience writing about ecommerce, retail, marketing, payments, and small business. But depending on the topic, I’m always up for researching and writing about something new — try me! Check out my work and performance metrics here.

What are your content marketing and writing rates?

My rates vary depending on the project scope. For blog articles, I charge a flat fee per project. The flat fee depends on the research required and the length of the article. Long-form content leads to a higher flat fee.

My flat fees for blog articles include:

  • Time spent on research

  • Writing & editing

  • On-page SEO

  • Sourcing images

  • Building internal links to and from existing blog content

How do you do research for blog articles?

I type your target keyword into Google Search, review the first 3-7 articles, and use the information I find as a starting point. Once I’ve created an outline, I do more research to be sure I’m answering the questions/ideas we’re trying to address in the article.

Do you only write blog articles?

Nope! I help clients with a range of projects including content strategy and/or writing for:

  • Landing pages

  • Support pages

  • Email newsletters

  • Email nurture sequences

  • Onboarding lifecycle marketing emails

  • Ebooks

  • Guides

  • Case studies

  • White papers

  • Thought leadership

  • And more…

Do you do ghostwriting?

Yes. I offer ghostwriting services. There's an extra 20% fee for ghostwriting services because my name and a link to my website will not be visible (i.e. I don’t get any street credit for the article).

How do I pay you?

I prefer direct bank deposit payments, but also accept PayPal payments. Note: If you choose to pay me via PayPal, you will be responsible for the transaction fees.

What type of process can I expect if we work together?

Processes vary depending on the project scope, but I’m open to working in your preferred way. Generally, I can turn around assignments within 10 day business days of receiving the content brief. I always self-edit work before handing it over to you. My payment terms are Net 15 and I usually invoice on/around the first of the month for work completed the month prior. However, if you run on a different billing schedule, let’s discuss it.

How many rounds of edits do you do?

My flat fee covers one round of edits. If you ask for more edits, there is an extra fee. Note: I’ve rarely had to do more than one round of edits for a client, so don’t worry too much about this!

Do you have references that I can contact?

Of course! Mention it when you fill in my contact form and once we discuss your project scope, I’d be happy to introduce you to a few of my past or present clients.

When can you start the first project?

The start date for your project will depend on my current availability. I will do my best to accommodate you. If you’re in a bind and need your project yesterday, I’m happy to help you. Note: Rushed projects are an additional 25% because I need to put other projects on hold.
