Hi, I'm Alexis.

I help tech, ecommerce, and lifestyle companies engage audiences and grow organically through content strategy and writing services for SEO/GEO blog articles, landing pages, case studies, guides, newsletters, email nurtures, and more. I’m a dual American–Dutch citizen, currently based in Amsterdam, and work with clients around the world.

A brief history of how I got here.

I worked in the fashion industry as a product developer for nine years before launching my own activewear brand on Shopify in 2015. I grew it to six figures in roughly 16 months through DTC and wholesale partnerships. At one point, I produced private-label programs for SoulCycle — that was the highlight! 

Then I burned out…

In 2018, after years of hustling as a solo founder, I made the difficult decision to step away from my brand. I’m proud of what I built, but I was running out of money.

I was supposed to take a few months off. Instead, I started writing content for Shopify because why not? Sharing my experience with fellow Shopify merchants was fun — and slightly therapeutic, as I had been in their shoes. It quickly (and unexpectedly) became the springboard for my career as a freelance content marketer, strategist, and writer.

I’m also a (very) occasional photographer and am usually cooking up some sort of side project (currently: meramagazine.com).
